Pay to win. I've played this game a lot over the years, Use to be max level. It's become more and more money oriented. To the point now that you need to buy all these shards to compete with everyone. Around £9.99 per card to get the more powerful version and there are many cards, you'll easily spend £100+ if you want to compete. They will bring more cards out soon which you'll end up needing to spend another £100 to stay competitive. If you are not going to invest, don't bother. Gg if you are.

New update has officially killed the game. I understand the game has to have payed elements and they can help you progress faster, over the last year these mechanisms have become way too egreous and instead of enhancing the payed element they're just stripping away from the free to play aspects to make it harder to upgrade. This shouldn't be the case and it's gone too extreme to the point as to where it isn't enjoyable anymore. I have played since the first year, not anymore until it changes bk.

so after 5 years, I thought i would give this another go. what a mistake that was. the matchmaking is horrifically unbalanced. it is utterly ridiculous how bad this game is now. what a waste of time. your opponent always has more elixir and creates troops faster and always the exact ones needed to beat your troops. there are far, far better options available. that they still haven't sorted this issue after this long and with so many saying the same thing, sums up how little interest they have.
