Feels like there is less love put into this game than the previous ones. Anything outside of the main quest is auto generated and the hub thing for upgrades feels like a mafia city level of design choice. Classes reusing a lot of skills from other classes is very cheap, especially considering there aren't that many classes. What stats do is very obscure and it is hard to strategize beyond get bigger number.

An unexpected (but very welcome) sequel to Knights of Pen and Paper 2. It's much easier to get more party members and professions, and additional classes are no longer hidden behind a paywall which is great. The issue is with leveling up skills and getting equipment. Skills can only be leveled up by books that rarely drop from enemies, by luck as a level up reward, or by buying stuff. You'll have level 12 characters with at most level 4 skills. No prob early on, but you feel the effects fast.

If all the bugs get fixed, a permanent ad free/permanent temple blessing gets added, stat conditions get explained in a book of their own in game, and if the scaling feels more balanced early on this would be an interesting and quite fun addition to the franchise. I'd advise new players not to go into this with the mindset of previous games as this is trying something quite different with it's equipment styles, each lvl up should have attack and defend skill options to vary playstyles
