The design and functionality are superb, but all too often the app can't connect to the router, even though the phone is right next to it and connected to it. Fixing it requires the app to be uninstalled and reinstalled, and the router to be rebooted. This sometimes happens several times in a day, on multiple devices. The app for a product costing over £1,000 shouldn't totally fail this often! The fact there is so much information about three problems on their support site shows it is widespread

Latest version really poor quality. Constantly prompting to login, even while using the app (often several times in succession??!!). Doesn't handle switching back to the app at all well - why show a status screen if it's not connected to the router yet? Doesn't provide all the settings of the web interface.

I have had my Orbi for 6 years. With 4 satellites. The main Orbi connects ok but the satellites are hit and miss. If I have a power cut, it can take hours to all come back online. I have to power them one at a time. If I tell the main Orbi to reboot, the satellites wont connect. Main router & 2 of satellites run on UPS's which helps but these units are flakey. All are at the latest Firmware version. When it is all up, it works fine. If I ever change the system, I'm not sure I'll use Netgear.
