The Washington Post app has gotten much less user friendly lately. The new comments format is a complete disaster with the removal of the like button, addition of confusing "provocative", "thoughtful", etc buttons, no way to get back to the article when reading your comments and replies. it is also difficult to navigate to a particular section of the paper like Advice to read articles.

Basically love it, great content and they fixed some bugs that were an issue, but a few more points: 1) Notifications need more granularity: I only want notifications of major breaking news but instead I get minor stories and even opinion pieces in my notifications. 2) Gallery text sometimes hides the image. 3) opening from the widget often opens the wrong story. 4) doesn't seem to get many updates on the weekend.

As a Brit, keeping up to date with US affairs from a trusted outlet is important in these dark times. Great writing and articulate opinions is a particular strength compared to many of its competitors. One thing, I'd like it if when I click on a notification it didn't open on my previous item instead of the new article that I've been notified about.
