Reading Eggs is the multi-award winning learning program that helps children learn to read. Based on scientific research and designed by experienced elementary teachers, it’s proven to help kids learn to read using interactive reading games, guided reading lessons, fun activities, and over 4000 e-books.

My 6 year old SEN son has struggled to engage with reading book and it has been a huge concern with regards to where his ability is at. He has taken to Reading Eggs so well, he loves the activities, it stretches his ability to listen to instructions which he is an area he needs to develop. better still with the eggs he is awarded for his efforts, he is able to purchase games in the app, he loves it. I would recommend it.

As a learning app it is fantastic. The only draw backs are that some of the videos glitch and only play the sound. Sometimes, there is no sound when it should be reading aloud. Also some of the activities freeze which means we have to reboot the app or use a completely different device. It has been a great learning tool for both of my children though alongside the workbooks.

Potentially a great app and the children love it. Unfortunately it has a known issue with ALL Galaxy Tab A devices which causes the app to regularly hang and crash at the end of modules. Tab A is the very device they list as recommended to run it! I had to push the company hard to get them to admit this and they say it's being fixed but no sign of a stable version. All they can suggest is use a PC or browser instead which isn't suitable for their age and rather defeats the object.
