Overall nice game UI on main screen and upgrade system exactly like Archero. Gameplay is great nice arcade shooter. Upgrading hero stats is very minimal in terms of power. Talents upgrade +2 or 1% each upgrade thats very poor. You dont get hero abillity at start of stage needs to be gained and sometimes dont get at all from all 10 stages in chapter and can only be used once per stage when you get it. Pets abillity are active from stage 1 and reload after 30 sec. Item drops too low usually get 0

This game is way better than all the classic arcade ones. I have now completed all 5 chapters and heroic mode , (took me about two weeks) , no serious grinding , no pay to win , this game is amazing. I only hope the developers create more unique levels with different bosses(not just heroic mode) that would be amazing.

Edited edit: I am embarrassed to say that upgrading my phone resolved the game issues I had. I've had various Android phones for over a decade. During that time, I've installed every kind of game imaginable. This is the only one I've ever rated 5-stars. Ever, in over a decade. All the others eventually get aggravating, and I uninstall them. This game is possibly the finest, purest vertical scroller shooter in the Play store. Yes, there are ads, and things to buy, but they're all voluntary!
